Clubs

A wide range of clubs are offered at the school and these include:

Interact, LEO, Debate and Public Speaking, Art, Drama, Electronics and Science, Brass Band, Busy Hands, First Aid French, Girl Child Network, Jazz, Photography, Bible, Quiz, Young Farmers.

Interact Club

The club gives the students an opportunity to participate in meaning full service projects within the school and community. Through service integrators learn the importance of developing leadership skills and personal integrity while demonstrating helpfulness and respectful for others.

LEO Club

Leadership Experience Opportunity club (LEO) provides the students a chance for development and contribution, individually and collectively as responsible members of local, national and international community. It encourages students to develop leadership qualities by participating in social service activities.

Debate and Public Speaking Club

Through Debate and Public speaking students are trained to be confident speakers who can articulate their ideas clearly.

Drama Club

It is a club which gives student a platform to participate in all aspects of play production.

Electronics and Science Club

It is a vibrant club that motivates and develops students’ interest in the Science subjects. It is concerned with the practical application of Science in everyday life.

Brass Band

Seeks to develop the musical talents of young people. Brass, woodwing, strings, keyboard, and percussion instruments are used to train the upcoming musicians.

Busy Hands

Empowers students so that they will be able to sew, knit, cook and set the table. Club members are taught how to be creative for instance making doormats using weave frames.

First Aid Club

The objective of the club is to give first help to common emergencies in the school and when students go for sports in and outside the school.

The club comprises 12 students and one staff member trained by the Zimbabwe Red cross society. This staff member is responsible for the training of other club members.

French Club

The main aim of the club is for the members to have a basic knowledge of French. Lessons for beginners are conducted and club members get to learn to converse in French.

Girl Child Network

This is a club that champions the rights of the girls child. It seeks to address the harsh realities of life of the girl- child observed in the home, school and community. Through this club, the girl child is awareness is raised on issues such as rape HIV and AIDS forces marriages, pre-marital sex among others. The girl child is empowered to communicate her aspirations and hopes in an effective manner.

Jazz

Junior Achievement of Zimbabwe is a club which is dedicated to helping youths to develop an awareness of the business environment. It also seeks to develop their entrepreneurship skills. ‘A’ level students, who are members of this club, are prepared for a practical business environment compared to a theoretical one.

Photography Club

Is a club which that aims at developing in students  an interest in photography in general.  Members are made aware of the basic principles of photography, and the use of professional cameras.  Students are at first trained to take pictures of nature, school facilities, and the surroundings. The club has an avid following from many girls and boys.

Bible Quiz

A club which promotes the spiritual growth of students through studying the Bible. The students prepare for Bible Quiz competition at District, Federation Conference Union and Trans-national levels.

Young Farmers

Is a club that equips young people with lifelong skills of self reliance. The club intends to run a poultry project for both indigenous and exotics chicken.

ICDL

The centre offers computers studies at ‘O’ level. ICDL (From form 1 up to 6) and computer appreciation for the primaries (Grade 0 up to 7) It is an accredited centre by the Computer Society of Zimbabwe. The Computer Centre manages the satellite internet (VSAT) facilities and Internet access to both staff and students.
